Climate change poses a significant threat to traditional agriculture. Extreme weather events such as heatwaves, excessive rain and hail and powerful hurricanes are causing more and more crops to be lost. If we opt to grow our crops in a controlled environment, in either a glass or film greenhouse, we will be less susceptible to the consequences of such extreme weather events, and growers will be able to realise an ideal environment where they can grow their crops, wherever they are in the world. This will allow growers to control the quality, continuity and yields of their crops, and enable them to produce a wider variety of healthy crops year round, while reducing their consumption of natural resources such as water, fertiliser and pesticide.
