REDUCING OUR FOOTPRINT
While the world demands more food and food that is produced more safely, it also faces climatological and geographical challenges. Extreme weather events, earthquakes, overpopulation and erosion caused by extreme drought are negatively affecting the availability of fertile agricultural soil, clean water and drinking water, and energy.
In association with our partners in the greenhouse construction industry and other commercial partners, we seek to find solutions to these major challenges. Our greenhouse solutions have been adapted to ensure they are optimised for local cultivation conditions, while our BOAL Group partners use ingenious methods to integrate the requirements imposed on, for instance, water management, chemical-free crop cultivation and alternative sources of energy into our projects. This allows us to reduce our ecological footprint.
