Bregje van der Meer (45) is a teacher at Taal + school. She mainly focuses on the Horti Campus in the Westland area, but she also does something special: she is a teacher of Dutch language on the workplace, so on location. Bregje teaches a group of 11 men to speak, write and listen in Dutch. The work is often quite heavy, but they always go to class. The men come from Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe and from team leader to performer, they mix in class. The atmosphere is fine and the hierarchy of the workplace falls away.

They all want the same thing: learn Dutch better. And so far, it is successful due to the circumstances they learn within working hours, on location and facilitated by the company. There will be 2.5 hours of teaching once a week from 14.45-17.15 hours. The day and evening teams meet during the lesson; the day shift stays an hour longer and the evening shift comes an hour earlier. The goal is that the students grow from A2 to B1 and learn to read, listen, write and speak in Dutch.

And so far, it is a big success!
